brake bleeding

Freelander 2 td4 gs 2014
what is the sequence to bleed the brakes?

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

I’m not 100% on the Freelander but I was always taught to start at the one furthest away from the master cylinder and work in that order.

Per the shop manual, for early LH drive LR2....

R.Rear, L.Rear, R.Front, L.Front

For RH drive...

L.Rear, R.Rear, L.Front, R.Front

I doubt it changed for later year chassis.

As above. Its also on page 417-8 of the free JLR workshop manual. Downloadable from this forum.

I'm assuming you haven't got one so I include this warning...(as I don't know the reason for the brake bleeding)

Re. the HCU warning... that does not apply for routine brake bleeding, or when just replacing calipers or hoses. Just bleed it the old fashioned way, I've done it several times since I've owned the car.
