United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Sumatra Black
Dog Crate/ Cage

I am picking up my new FL2 tomorrow and I could do with some recommendations. I’ve got one full time Springer and one Part time (father in-laws) and to be honest they have really trashed the back of my X-Trail over the last few years.
Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers
Tony

i have just installed the cargo barrier today so i can stack stuff higher in the boot, at the top there is a gap that i would suspect a springer spaniel could find its way through, (My brothers dalmatian could fit through a gap smaller than that in his Volvo V50)

The additional cage/divider may solve this gap, but with the extra cost it would be expensive way to go
(also looking at the fitting instructions, it doesn't go right to the roof either) Rolling Eyes

In total you would be looking £150 Barrier £125 Divider I am sure you could get a suitable collapsible dog cage for that or less

Have you looked at what on offer at www.roofbox.co.uk Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thanks GC, I’ll have a look, just want something to put them in after we’ve been out and about and there wet and muddy. Its amazing how dog hair, sand and mud can migrate to the front of a vehicle

Made by a company called 'ferplast'. It's plastic so great for cleaning, also separates into two pieces which also helps with cleaning. It fits between the wheel arches (just), the luggage cover has to be removed

With Daisy and Monty on board ...

Hope this helps .... Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!

After some investigation I think I probably will get the dog guard and foldable dog kennel so I can stack stuff higher up. The devider makes me loose to much space.

It would be nice to find a dog kennel with detachable legs underneath so I can put some stuff underneath and enable the dogs to look outside. That way I'd leave 80% of the space for luggage.
If less luggage is stored I can put the kennels on the floor.

That's my ideal solution.
