Hi there, hoping someone might be able to shed some light on an issue we’ve been having with my wife’s car, it started the other day where the passenger side door didn’t unlock via the remote and the mirror also didn’t unfold. The mirror sorted itself out when I used the mirror buttons to fold and unfold them.

I would start with the usual disconnect the battery for a while then try them again. |

Thanks for the tips, I took the door card off yesterday to take a look and the control unit was fried so picking up a new one this morning and fingers crossed that will solve all the issues |

@jules, you might be lucky & find that fixes it temporarily but I can just about guarantee that the brushes in the lock actuator motors are shot. I recently replaced both driver door lock motors & l/h rear passenger side the same. It has cured all sorts of locking/unlocking issues I’d been having for the past couple of years. Bought the motors from aliexpress, not expensive & not that difficult to swap out either. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

So replacing the control unit has made no difference, tried the hard reset and again nothing, anyone got any ideas?
