I just fitted the HID conversion to my headlights, Autobulbs direct are out of stock of the standard 35w kit so went for the 50% brighter 35w kit for £10 more.

Have to say how much better they are now, much whiter & brighter light. Been out a couple of times around town & no flashing from others so guess we are all good, did mark my garage door where the original halogen beams were cutting off & the HID are in just the same place.

Looking for LED H11 bulbs now for my fog lights as they are really yellow now in comparison to Headlights & LED (standard fitting ) DRL lights. I did get some but they have a small fan on the rear, so slightly longer. The washer tank is behind the drivers side fog light & room is very limited so dont think they will go in.

Has anyone else fitted LED lamps to their fog lights & if so recommendations gratefully received please. 2014 Freelander 2 HSE Orkney Grey. Now sold.

They match the hid lights colour wise but not as much light output as the halogens Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

We have a river running thru our town (Ouse ) & it gets quite thick when conditions are right, I drove home 2 weeks ago & the town was fine but when leaving town & heading to my village it was quite dense. Too true - Around Wakefield (my home city) you could stand in the middle of the road and not be able to see the curbs. I rather miss the smell though. Jules

Just fitted some HID Stealth sets to my Freelander. As previous respondents have said ''cking wow - I now feel safe going out at night. Good cut off for dipped with no dazzling oncoming traffic. A great safety improvement. Only minor problem was snapping the lens lifter rod but not a big deal as its the nearside and you can access the clip by hand but will probably invest £20 replacement cost in due course. A great mod to be recommended for those with projector lenses. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Great to hear your hid conversion went well. For the fogs I just fitted H11 nightbreakers. Not quite as aesthetically pleasing but effective at lighting up the edges when used on country roads in conjunction with main beam hid xenons. FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey
