Single Press on fob to unlock all doors

Not sure if this has been covered or if its in the manual (which i havent bothered reading as im a bloke) but i went on my freebie Land Rover Experience 1/2 day today and 1 of the many tips n tricks i picked up was the disabling of the double press to unlock the doors.

Simply hold the unlock and lock buttons down for about 3 seconds and the indicators will flash twice.

now unlock the car with 1 press and all doors are unlocked. Just repeat above to set it back to only opening the drivers door if your'e a "billy no mates" or prefer the family to wait outside the car until your ready for them to enter Very Happy

By the way the half day freebie experience was fantastic. We went to the coniston cold site nr skipton and got a good 3 hours in the car. quite impressive what these auto boxes can do - he also showed us "launch control" in sport mode. i cant believe how quick an auto pulled away doing that.

its got me looking for an auto hse on ma next upgrade.

regards

Youngie

Left foot braking, set rev's to 2000-2500, release brake, this way it engages the torque converter Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

That sounds more like standard automatic quick getaway technique rather than launch control Laughing

WGG1848 - just saw a link on landrovers site for 500 free places filled in my contact details and they rang to say i'd got 1. Apparently they are always doing it, you just need to keep checking the site.

R32Paul - just as npinks said m8 - sport mode, left foot braking n revs - really quite effective

Apparently sand mode makes it more exciting too, so I've read on here!

I have a manual (and am not likely to switch to an auto before I'm ready for my pipe and slippers Smile ) so haven't been able to try that out.

This is covered on page 41 of the Handbook, however youngie's information is not quite correct, so here is the correct procedure:

1). FIRST unlock the vehicle in the normal way.
2). Simultaneously hold the unlock and lock buttons down for about 3 seconds and the indicators will flash twice.
3). Repeating the procedure will re-enable Single Point Entry.

Thanks youngie for reminding me to dis-enable this annoying feature Thumbs Up 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
