check that there is no pressure on the steering wheel lock, this was a problem mainly on pre facelift models I recall, worth a try At work

Morning all, many thanks for replies. Actually fixed it this morning. Steering lock thingy majig! Obviously jams inside few taps with screwdriver on unit, key fob in, no clicking like crazy and started straight away. Will look into sorting properly but back on the road. Daft set up really!
