I wouldn't use it as it doesn't do the pump any good Common sense isn't very common.

Quick answer is no, it won't be compatible, and it won't stop a leak either.

The reservoir has a very fine filter / strainer built in. It blocks and destroys the whole hydraulic system, pump dies filling hoses and rack with swarf that cannot be removed by flushing - I speak from bitter experience.
