Headlight adjustment 2014 projector lens

I want to alter the beam height slightly.
Each headlight unit has two adjusters marked as V1 and V2.
Which does the vertical adjustment or is it both together ?
The JLR manual only covers older headlight units - adjustment may well be the same but thought I'd ask before faffing about later tonight.

I messed with this two years ago......do it at night in front of a garage door on level ground and "square to the door"......... Whistle

Unless I over thought it.....I thought one was for up/down and the other left/right? Up/down should be the middle and left/right should be the end. LMK if I was/am wrong. Also, there is a self leveling function with JLR SDD for my setup.

Its says in the JLR manual that NAS spec only has vertical adjustment - dont know why it should be different though Jules

As it turns out, the two medial hex screws adjust vertically, the lateral ones don't seem to do anything as far as I could tell (however, I only rotated them a couple of turns each way) Jules

If memory serves me, the lateral adjuster required quite a few turns before I could see it moving on my garage door.......but heck I will take a look at mine tomorrow and post back if it's the same approx setup as yours.

Having replaced many RHD units to LHD units, or converted one to the other, it only cost me €10 to have the headlights aligned by my local garage. MOT ( CT ) result is always bang in the middle of the range.............why not !

Hi Jules, sorry for not posting on this before but I kept forgetting. But.......I didn't today! Laughing

So, my adjustments are exactly like yours but I have Xenon's and yes, the side adjustment is most deffo left right not up down. I don't know why your model year is different but I can rotate my lights left and right on the horizontal plane.

Thanks for that - maybe I didnt turn them enough to effect any movement
Anyway it was only the up/down that I wanted to adjust. Jules
