Updated results recently posted. The 2008 LR2 had a repair rate of 27 successful repair trips per 100 vehicles per year, which is better than average. The sample size was 20 this time. Better, but still a few below the minimum, so on the site this result is asterisked.

In other words, additional participants needed.

We'll have a full result for the LR2 and Freelander2 next week. No asterisk this time. A big thanks to everyone who helped make this possible.

Of course, a larger sample size would be even better. So we're always looking for more participants.

The latest Car Reliability Survey results were recently posted. The reported number of repair trips per 100 cars per year for the Land Rover LR2 and Freelander2 was 53, which is about average.

A big thanks to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in May, August, and November. With additional participants we could provide more precise results and include all model years.

We now have a separate results page for each model that includes the results for competing cars. The one for the LR2:

Thanks. I've added the diesels to the powertrain database, so those owners can now participate in the fuel economy as well, if they wish.

In a few weeks we'll start previewing the next set of results to participants. More always helpful. Especially need 2009s.

Make that especially need 2007s and 2009s. Current counts:

2007: 21

2008: 45

Belgium 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Santorini Black

Not a very easy site to navigate. Very cluttered.
But I think I managed somehow, though I've mailed them to advice some changes:
At least the manual TD4 and TD4_e should be added.
Also only HSE is available.

Got your email.

Don't worry about the trim level--it's not important.

I will add any engines not already listed within the next week.

Working on the site navigation. If anyone has specific suggestions, please do contact me using the link at the bottom of every page of the site. We get very little actionable feedback. Would very much like to improve the usability, but more or less in the dark. truedelta.com

We've updated the results for the LR2 to include owner experiences through the end of March. A big thank you to everyone who helped make this result possible.

With a repair frequency of 42 repairs per 100 cars per year, the 2008 LR2 is about average, but close to "better than average." Much lower repair frequency than the 2005-2006 LR3 (no stat for newer years yet).

These cars are of course young, and it remains to be seen how they'll fare as they age. With prompt quarterly updates, we'll track them closely. The more participants we have, the better the information we can provide.

41 owners now signed up for the 2008, but only 9 for the 2009. Especially need more of the latter, so we can provide stats for this year.

A few more 2009s have signed up. A dozen more and we can include it in the main survey and see how the 2009 compares to the 2008.

90 LR2 and Freelander2 owners now signed up. A good start, but more are needed to provide precise results for all model years.
