FL2 to NL ;-)

Hi guys,

A newby here from the Netherlands Wink

Just heard the good news that my new FL2 TD4_e has the 'factory build' date of 22 May, expected to be arriving at my dealer 2-3 weeks later. The dealer will then take care of the following customisations:
- Black Leather seats
- Kenwood Navigation system (DNX8220BT)
- 'Piece of iron under the rear bumper' Laughing
This all means that I hope to be a proud and happy owner of my first Landrover per second half of June Whistle Bow down Exclamation

P.S. Since color has proven to be a sensitive thing, I will not disclose until posting my first photo's Mr. Green

Waiting is indeed 'hell', but hey that's why it's good to be able to talk some 'freelandish' already on this forum Cool

And you know what, the good thing is that it was already this forum that directed me to the company that sells aftermarket arm rests for the FL2 Thumbs Up

It's also a great laugh to recognise the sensitivity around the colour of our FL2 Rolling with laughter

I mus say that I was attracted to the beautiful Santorini Black that really makes the accents jump out...... But also recognised the class of the Stornoway Grey...... And the Baltic Blue, being replaced this year with Biscay Blue.... And.... And... And....

They all look beautiful in their own way, because they're all FL2's Exclamation

Choosing a colour in a household with 3 women (wife and daughters) is tough Big Cry

But I was brave and made a decision. I choose Censored

Welcome to the boards!

To have the FL2 in Holland will certainly be a dream as they stand out there. Where are you from? I ask as Holland is my third home (due to my wife and my work) and I lived in Amsterdam for 6+ years....and as a typical Brit my Dutch stinks!

Owning a premium brand 4x4 in Holland will certainly stand out and once you get behind the wheel you'll struggle to not to smile all of the time.

The waiting is true "hell" but it gives yu plent of time for becoming a geek on all things FL2. Thumbs Up Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!

Hi Gambba,

Born and raised in Amsterdam, but already moved out more into the countryside 25 years ago Very Happy

Indeed, I have noticed that the FL2 is not a car you see a lot in NL, so even more fun while standing out with this quality car. Thumbs Up

The only downside is that there aren't many (free) locations in the Netherlands to do off-roading.... Big Cry and certainly not as beautiful as you did in the UAE. The pictures in your gallery are stunning Bow down

Anyhow, first to survive the next 8 - 10 weeks...... Laughing FL2 S TD4_e, Santorini Black, with towbar Smile

Ah a true Dammer just like my Wife.

We've got an apartment in Diemen North, and when I'm back I see an FL2 on the same street, but other than that I see very few back there, so you will have a truely special vehicle.

I know what you mean about locations...try finding a hill!! But the great thing is a blink of the eys and you can be in another country and enjoying the FL2 to its full.
Here we have nothing but sand and highrise buildings, so you either love it or absolutely hate it! Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!

Today was D-Day !!

This morning around 11am CET I have become the very proud owner of my first Landrover, in this case the Freelander 2 S TD4_e... Cool

Have driven around 200km with it and loved every (kilo)meter Laughing

I will post more pictures in the coming weeks.

Need to really challenge him a little in the coming 3 weeks because he has to bring me and my caravan to the South of France soon Shocked

But first, just enjoy this wonderful car Very Happy FL2 S TD4_e, Santorini Black, with towbar Smile
