Any other ideas for recharge of the car, with the car not used for a time I have to use the key on the passanger side the place the key in the dock.it starts then I leave it running to charge the key.there must be a way of making a charging station.

No idea if it will work but how about leaving the fob next to a wireless phone or toothbrush charger! |

Somewhat similar technique here. Two keys, no other keys on the fob. On the fob one key has label 1, the other is labelled 2. Key 1 used on days with an odd date, key 2 used on even dates. |

Two sets of ket fobs, one for everydayday use and the other for'just in case'. The everyday one was renovated by the forum member (RRLUK??) used by many other members, mainly because the case was in a bit of a mess. The second one remains on the key hook for months on end. If I remember I'll use it on longish trips for a recharge but it seems OK if left for long periods. With my other FL2 I did swap the keys around on a regular basis. 11 GS Bali Blue
