You need to be careful. A friend of mine had a broken spring which eventually moved and punctured the front tyre whilst he was driving. |

Happened to me at 90mph 70mph on a dual carriageway in Devon in my Renault Laguna.

I have had springs brake twice in the last couple of years on newish cars, it's a problem that never existed years ago

Possibly caused by two groups of bean counters. The bean counters at JLR driving the cost of manufacturing down by reducing specifications verses the bean counters in local government saving money on road repairs. |

All done today,the drivers side had broken at the bottom only about 3 inch piece,the passenger side was ok but was replaced,happy days. |

Seems to be common nowadays. Driven for 30 years and never had this happen, my wife's car has broken 2 springs, one front, one rear in the last year 🤔 Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
