Some of you may have seen my post on here about looking for a Freelander. After a few months of looking a couple I missed out on I’ve found one and picked it up. Yesterday. I wanted one as late as possible with decent history and to a budget. Ended up finding this 2015 SE Tech for sale privately and bought it. History Is good, Full LR until 2018 then Rockingham Land Rover for the last 2 years. Given it a thorough clean today. The crap that came out of the seals and the roof bar tracks leads me to think it’s never seen a jet wash before. It’s come up well though I think. Found a couple off issues (well it is a landrover!) brake light leaks so new seal ordered and one of the wing mirror caps came off while I cleaned it! I think it’s back on secure! The mirrors aren’t quite folding in and out correctly either so will lube them and reset next weekend! Other than that seems to drive nice. It’s got budget ‘Azura’ tyres On it at the moment. Plenty of tread on them but tempted to swap them fairly quickly. Also planning on getting the diff oils changed and the Haldex serviced in the not to distant future. 2015 ones are pretty rare and I’ve found that 4 TD4 SE Techs were registered in 2015! Anyway here’s a post cleaning pic...

Sorry mileage is 69000 so not too high. I’ll investigate the gearbox fluid too. Thank you! |

Thanks Gundog! Yes a few asked yesterday if I'd got another one when I was cleaning it! Well within the budget thankfully. Paid just over £11k for it so pretty happy with that. There are a few things I'll need to spend money on on it over the next few months to get it fully sorted but I think that would have been the same from a dealer or private! |

I do like the 'blacked out' portion of the headlamps.

Thanks boxbrownie and 3lander 2. It looks better from a good clean! Still a few bits I want to do, deep clean of the interior and windows next weekend.

This is the common lamp. It has a transparent cover with a white reflector. The OP's is not modified, there were several variants. |

It looks like it maybe partly reflective on my car. My guess to make the corner of the car a bit more visible if parked on the street at night. Will have to have a look at some time. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
