Yes, I have tapped into the Yellow/Orange wire, which is the main beam wire. |

Correct, it's taking power straight from the battery, with a relay from the main beam telling it to 'switch on'. |

Presumably the brackets are a pair of the Lazer Licence plate Mounts? Link below.

The bracket is from Lazer, pre drilled holes, self tapping screws and a little silicone adhesive for good measure.

Lazer do a kit to fit two lights into the D4 grille with grille shaped trim sections for either side of the lights. The grille profile looks very similar between D4 and late Freelander. I like the idea of the lights being recessed into the grille and at a right height to efficiently dispatch slow moving cars from the fast lane |

Though the D4 kit requires you to hack away at the grille, something I wasn't all too keen on doing because if I wanted to return to normal, with the FL2 it would mean a whole new front end! |
