The error code is PA0299. TURBOCHARGER/SUPERCHARGER UNDERBOOST. |

Also of note. I am neither accelerating or decelerating at the time. For the UNDERBOOST error I would assume it would be tripped under moderate to heavy acceleration. |

The MAP sensor can cause that code to be set.

update...Even though the check engine light came on at the same spot every time. It may have had nothing to do with the location. Thoroughly checked all intake hoses and low and behold. The classic split in the top pipe going inti the intake manifold. Very small but here. Have ordered a new section of pipe from the UK. All I could find here in Aus was the whole set from the Intercooler to the manifold for around $200. Getting just the top section express DHL for $40. In the meantime I have used the old silicone tape and zip tie short term fix. Still can't work out why check engine light only came on at that spot and why the car didn't go into limp mode. It was blowing a small puff of smoke on take off, that was about it, maybe a small loss of power. Maybe that's just the quirkiness of Land Rovers. |
