Aesthetic update

I thought this might bring her up to date a little.

I had the matt black vinyl applied by a local sign-writer for £70 and i think it looks great.

What do you lot think....?

Yes it does look good.

Better than the wrap from the powerful kit, see photo below...

........as the fitting around the LR badge, window + swage line is neater.

I have seen this done before.

Sorry for the poor photo, it was taken as a screen shot from a paused video.

This feature was seen on the 3dr FL1

....... and on prototypes of the 3dr & 5dr FL1 ........ but never hit full production.

I should have mentioned: I did have to remove and reattach the rear quarter badges.
They were a pig to get off and cutting 3M's vhb tape to fit discreetly behind the the badges was a pain.
The results are worth it in my opinion though.

I had a local sign writer apply the vinyl. There are sharp creases in the body top and bottom so I don't think much measuring was required, just apply vinyl and cut to fit. Getting the vinyl to fit nicely around the window seals must have been a nightmare though!
The badges are held on by strong foam tape. I warmed them with a hair dryer and got behind them with a pick. I then cleaned off the remaining tape and glue thoroughly. Each badge has two locating lugs on the back,so refitting them in the correct position is simple - once new tape is applied.
