Worlds first V8 Freelander 1.

Well, back in the day when I owned my Freelander 1's, the general consensus was that engine swaps couldn't be achieved - unless swapping like for like. I'd have killed for this.............



I bet it does better mpg than my old V6 too Shocked .
However, I do wonder what the transmission is like, considering the F1 engines, like the F2 are transverse.

I remember back in the eighties we were putting Rover V8s
in virtually anything,
from Ford E93a, to series Land Rover's best had to be a mates Viva HB.

I can remember going to Loton Park Hill climb in the late 60's and seeing a twin engined mini with auto box for the rear and manual for the front. Sounded great.
Also a Ford Anglia with an E-type engine. Not sure which one, but the drivers seat was in the back. Unfortunately it wouldn't start
I guess where there's a will.........

There was a 3Ltr V6 mid engined built by Harfords.
