If you use the 'seach' function with various key words there are a lot of threads, the search function works really well, I use it all the time.
But, basically if you want to lift the carpet up & leave the seats in. Pull off the rubber seal around the door, pull off the lower B column trim panel, pull up the sill trim panel, pull back the trim panel on the front edge of the door. It's all very easy to do.
If you want to lift the seats pull the 4 plastic trim covers off & unbolt the seats.
You probably want to get to the rear foot well as this is lower & water will run down to the rear, so remove the rear door seal & the rear sill trim panel on the wheel arch. Remove the rear seats, 2 bolts per side, so you can get you hand down under the carpet more easily as it is about 130mm thick on the floor, to mop up water.
In the front footwell remove the trim panel on the side of the transmission tunnel, there is one screw at the front, pull the panel out, there are 2 clips towards the rear so short sharp tug will release the rear.
There are some photos in this thread: https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic33026.html
(There is a list of part numbers for trim panel clips in this thread, get some as you will break a few)
Also look at the service manual, it may not be the exact year of your car but the panels & most of the car is the same regardless, the manual is extremely useful, a bit tedious to go through, but it is still worth every single page! https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic10621.html Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
