Anyone remember the old days when cars had an earth cable going from the battery to the body and then another from the body to the gearbox? If you forgot to connect the body to gearbox cable after you’d done a clutch or and engine or gearbox change, you’d fry the choke cable pretty quick! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I suspect one of them earths some engine bay modules, there was an electrical 'whine' noise when just 1 connected but everything else, Ignition, interior lights, dash totally dead until I caught on to my silly mistake.
