Water and Mud wash.

Just popped down to the shops, in a muddy and puddled road here in, North Norfolk, and not for the 1st time I am aware of how the, Freelander, loves to throw muddy water up over the windscreen, not unlike a, " Delinquent Elephant". Could this have been something that could have been addressed at the design stage? The only other car that I've owned with a panache for similar behaviour, was a, Lotus Seven, that would nose dive under puddles, resulting in water pouring into the car via the inside of the windscreen. It was like motor cycling on 4 wheels without any protective clothing, we soon parted company.

I’ve never had a car that doesn’t do that In over fifty years of driving , thought it was just part of the dynamics of a motor car !

Agreed, though being in a tall 4x4 you tend to not bother about large puddles as much as in a small low car, they tend to almost stop as they are deluged momentary disappearing. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

My discovery 2 was far worse at throwing water up over the bonnet and windscreen, the freelander is much more civilised. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
