Ahhh, plastidip.......very good stuff, can peel off and also easily repair. (I owned a 1997 4runner 5 speed standard with rear diff-lock with 2 kms on the odo from brand new...........would have kept it forever but I wrote it off - ditch backflip and two rolls - on black ice in 2018). Did both sets of stock 4runner rims with dip and if you use enough coats and the right technique, they survived multiple winters without issue for me. Replaced it with the 08 LR2. Just don't let rustproofing or WD 40 soak into the dip.

Excellent, thank you for the info!

EDIT: I sprayed my LR2 side vents in the spring (when I installed the PowerfulUK digital black-tint side markers) with a semi-gloss black acrylic paint. Came out pretty good and no peeling to date but I have not put them through a winter yet.

Have you also painted the lower door plastic trim - if not, what are you using on it? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Back on topic:

There are some horrible leather interiors out there. BMW have a really nice red leather, a work colleague bought a new 320d in black but the leather interior was the colour you'd scrape out of a baby's nappy Shocked

We have just treated ourselves to 2 La-z -boy recliner chairs and agonized over what colour leather to pick. Originally we were tempted by the bright red which was very striking but in the end opted for a nice burgundy colour which seems more contemporary and less "in your face". Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I really like the orange FL2s!!

I think the worse interiors in general are Aston Martins. They should be classic and subtle but often end up being burgundy with velvet everywhere , and then there's the centre console ...

The pimiento reb/black is OK though.
Pimiento is pepper (the vegetable) so it should be pimiento rojo (red pepper).

There are no standard Aston Martin interiors you tell Aston Martin what you want, blame the customers one assumes if Aston don't like your choice then it will cost more than one they like. Very Happy my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

If you really want the full story

Back in 2008 I went to the Land Rover Dealership

I test drove a Silver/Black LR2 HSE

But by the time I was finished

I drove away in a Tambora Flame LR2 SE

I don't remember the Orange Man

But I can't be certain he wasn't there
