2014 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Fuji White

The biggest issue with those universal units is that they connect to the car audio system through auxiliary, which essentially kills the Meridian Surround system in the HSE.

I don't see why they don't use bluetooth (maybe because it's not widely available in older cars). Freelander 2 2014 SD4 Automatic HSE Fuji White

Quick update, using the AUX doesn't always disable the Meridian sound, it works sometimes.

There are a few carplay modules compatible with our car on Aliexpress now, a friend is using one and recommended it very well (30s to boot carplay and no prev/next from the stering wheel since it uses aux, but other than that looks great!). Freelander 2 2014 SD4 Automatic HSE Fuji White
