2008 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Narvik Black

Replacing the front wiper motor/linkage mechanism.

The above packed in this morning on my way home from work - the linkage sheared off. Is it a difficult job to replace it? I've been told it comes as a whole,including the motor.

other suppliers are available.
if it's like my D2 then a straight forward job!

As I live in Wales, you are correct! lol. Having said that, my vehicle is 12.5 years old.

Same as mine then, but the East Kent tends to be a tad drier than
Wales.

Now sorted. I bought a new system (£161:00) and my friend fitted it for £10:00.

Friends,

Should the linkage be lubricated occasionally?

What type of lubricant would you recommend?

- Spray Lithium Grease?

- PTFE dry lubricant

- Silicone spray

- other????

What is the moving surface Meta on Metal? Metal on Plastic?

Let me know your recommendations
