Hi There,

Hope you're well.

Please can I get a quote for a full set of wheel arch rubber trims?

Many thanks,

The original LR fitted front O/S and N/S parts are different to each other - the N/S one is a different profile to all the other pieces.

Whether or not it is really necessary ??? Wheel Arch Trim Thread

Hi Reggie, have I listed the incorrect part numbers?

Read the comments on that thread, and think I'd rather run some form of protection in the arch to protect from stone chips, as the road conditions aren't the best around here with a lot of loose debris. Freelander 2 XS 2013

I probably didn’t put that very clearly - i was really pointing out that the nearside front arch was originally fitted from new with a differently profiled trim to the 'U’ shaped trim fitted to the other three wheel arches.

Whether that odd shaped piece is really necessary and a piece of the standard ‘U’ shaped trim fitted to the other three arches would do the job equally as well, I don’t know. Presumably the odd profile fitted to the front nearside arch served a purpose but I don’t know what it may have been.

No suggestion that the trim isn’t needed to protect the arches though. If Duckworth’s (can) supply the odd piece I'd be interested as I have replaced the three standard sets but I am sure Dan Roberts (formerly of Duckworth's) wasn’t able to supply the odd shape.

I'm with you now. I've checked the current rubber trims on my car and the O/S and N/S both look identical, so I'm guessing whoever had them replaced before used the same part for both sides, without issue.

Do you happen to know the part number of the odd shaped trim part please? Freelander 2 XS 2013

I recently replaced all of the wheel arch protectors for £55 genuine LR parts, the passenger side front one that is different was designed to stop water getting into the airbox.

Thanks Gundog, seems like a rather important piece of protection. Do you happen to know the part number please for this unique part? Freelander 2 XS 2013

Unfortunately, I don’t.know the part number but I just went out and checked my car...

The odd one is definitely different and in noticeably worse condition than the rest, suggesting I didn’t renew it when I did the other three corners.

Edited to add: Thanks Gundog. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Quick update, I ended up ringing Duckworths and turns out they're experiencing problems with notifications from the forum, so might be worth phoning up as well if you're waiting.
Also learnt from Chris I believe his name was that the 2011 models and onwards require the different rubber trim for the front passenger wheel arch (RHD), part number LR031593 Thumbs Up Freelander 2 XS 2013

Just type in rubber trim on that bay thingame, endless options, instead of paying stealer prices.

I replaced my protectors with rubber U channel from ebay.

However, the front NS protector (LR031593) is different from the other 3 (see pic)
Ive purchased this one from LRDirect as Ive discovered you can buy them separately.
