Thanks and a happy ending

Basically just a thank you and my acknowledgment of a great forum which has helped me finally sort the running problem on my borrowed Freelander 2

A look on the forum helped me quickly get to the bottom of what I now know to be a turbo actuator issue, however unlike most posts it wasn’t sticky or seized, the retaining clip had disappeared and the arm was detached.

Having owned a D2 I wasn’t sure how I’d like the freelander but is a cracking piece of kit even with high mileage and abuse it’s been through. I still get that “could conquer the world” feeling when driving it that I had with the D2. Slightly miffed no one told me about this before now😁😁😁

Thanks again.
Jon

I came to Freelander ownership after a Disco 2 Td5 as Im sure many on here have done. It is a worthy replacement and an even better tow car, I just miss the massive boot space occasionally, other tha that its perfect for me Thumbs Up Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
