Mine does this on occasion I’ve found it does it more when the battery is low,I just switch off then start again. |

Hi,i had something very similar and it was the throttle body ,so had it changed and now all good.also I cleaned the map and maf sensors.

You need a software update for the engine ECU. Search for SSM48697. |

Thanks guys, apriciate the responses. As usual I think Alex wins the cuddly toy for now as that sounds spot on... But will be sure to update with what ensues. |

there is a software fix for this , but check your brake lights first. have you changed a brakelight bulb ?

You could try Land Ranger Services - they have several outposts in the NW https://www.landranger.co.uk/ Have used the guys at Atherton when I had knee replacement, and again after heart bypass, they were helpful, and knowledgeable. The guys in Middlewich had a better stock of spares - intercooler on the shelf. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner |

Probably a bit early to celebrate yet, but MIGHT have been a dodgy connection on the plug connecting to the fuel rail. Cleaned that out and all of those problems have vanished.
