Recently having a need for “Timed Climate” as it’s the first summer with new “4 legged friend” and on the odd occasion the need arises to leave him in the vehicle briefly while calling into the shops etc and this is generally in an underground car park, so thought I’d post video of how system allows you to have climate on whilst vehicle is off. There’s usually enough residual cooling from the evaporator to keep the inside temp quite comfortable considering outside ambient temperatures here.
Flashing “A/C” led indicates cooling whilst flashing “AUTO” led indicates heating. As I don’t have a Webasto connected only cooling is available as the “manual heat” soft button activated but shortly turns off as the system senses no Webasto to heat.
Single event and reoccurring timers can be preset for future activation events.

Ambient Configurable Lighting

As a forward note I’d like to say that it’s thanks to Vanny’s tinkerings on his bench system that I was able to activate Ambient Configurable lighting. I’d previously assumed the FCDIM didn’t have the software as I’d been unable to discover the field/fields to activate this feature.

As Vanny and I have quite different approaches it makes for a good combination of bench and real life testing Thumbs Up

At this stage it’s not completely working. I’m able to turn off and on but that’s it currently and when turned on it turns itself off after a short period. We understand why but not necessarily the solution so still work to be done.
Some explainations are that I still don’t have the correct combination of CCF fields activated or this version of the Ambient Configurable lighting, Tri-Colour is not supported. If so the search continues for the other option which is Bi-Colour or 5 choices of Configurable lighting v 10 pictured below.

This whole lighting things is rather confusing with Ambient Configurable Lightinh & Asthetic Mood Lighting acronyms being haphazardly thrown around by JLR marketing and what actually resides in the CCF. I will be starting another thread as I will be installing the lighting to my interior and will try and clear it up a little if possible, lol. In the meantime will keep working on this one whilst I fit all the “Mood Lighting”. MY15

Wow! Amazing research work you've done here, guys. Know exactly what a huge amount of time this consumes, you just can't be thanked enough!

Could anyone please share necessary CCF opts for activating 4x4i, rear cam soft button for switching between PDC overlay/cam feed, and opts to enable PDC overlay after R->D switch. The latter really freaks me out, that's ridiculous to have to cycle PDC each time to get PDC overlay screen after reversing, what JLR were thinking about?)

Not an FL2 owner, but Evoque 2013 instead. Have IAM2.1 L3 (retrofitted) and rear cam and front/rear PDC (factory). I have latest SDD with FW updates access & engineering mode passwords.

Yes, I already know that board, got lots of my initial knowledge from there. This Evoque is my first LR.

However I don't recall seeing anything specific regarding hidden features / useful CCF options in FL2 or Evoque forums, and I read a lot of them some time ago. May be I've just missed that info, will give it another try.

Tried some quick searches - so far to no avail.

*sorry for cluttering this thread - have no access to PM atm

Hi

I’ve just fitted heated seats in my MY07. All the wiring was already in place. Changed out the controls. Been into SDD and told it I have heated seats fitted so now the controls turn on but the seats are not heating. I’ve read on here that three fields in the CCF need changing have I missed one?

As I said previously, the Air Quality Sensor is a part of the air mix actuators link harness. You can buy the link harness as a separate part. I suggest you get the wiring schematic of the HVAC system and it will become all clear. I ended up not changing the whole harness as it was difficult to gain access to the drivers side air mix actuators so I just removed the single Green wire and pin from the new harness and put it into my existing harness and then extended the 3 wires (Green/red/blue) to the air quality sensors location.
New harness with extra LIN wire for Air Quality Sensor.

Add Green LIN wire with pin to existing LIN Harness/plug.

All is working 100%, Infact it's very affective and I've not once manually switched to recycle since installing. It's quite obvious in its functioning. Just as your nose detects any vehicle fumes, it extinguishes. It's only noticeable in the time it takes for the actuator to switch to recycle.

Hello, I am also implementing the air quality system, but I cannot find the connector shown in the photo by Stuartc, could you tell me where it is exactly?

There is a LOT of work going on in the background here...

OK so after this weeks "investigations" we are ready to try the following;

DVD video picture showing on the move
Navigation entry via touchscreen, on the move.
Playing .avi video from a USB stick, on the move.

Dear Cambo.

To see video from DVD during driving - it's very good!
What could be changed in CCF to make the sound better?
It is known I have to change setting in CCF during replacement my Hi-Liner to Premium (and +3 speakers).
Is it possible to update player additionally and to listen to music from USB with WAV files or another in Hi-Res up to 24/96?
DVD gives the best sound in Freelander 2, DAC in AMP can work even with SACD signal but listening to MP3 320 files from USB looks like XIX century...

Or could you advise another colleague for this question.

Cambo hasn't regularly posted here for over two years, he's unlikely to respond.

I suspect he doesn't post as he has a very busy business upgrading Land Rover infotainment systems, you might be better contacting him directly through;

There are a lot of posts on the forum and an index of interesting retrofits.

it might be worth reading through those and asking questions when you're stuck on a specific element.

Ultimately you'll need to make CCF changes and or hardware changes.
