I have looked through this thread, but could not find any references to CCF parameters for video on the move....would like to try enabling it with SDD/VCI combo. Any insights?

There is probably a very good safety reason "video on the move" has not been posted.

I see that you have succeeded based on the signature Thumbs Up ...i tried changing “video display inhibit”, but the video would still stop after reaching certain mph Banging Head

As I’ve said on numerous occasions Activating features is not always a single CCF edit and is dependent on MY (you have not stated or have signature) and vehicle specification (again you’ve not stated variant) so probably not working because of reasons I’ve already mentioned and other fields are inactive. MY15

Added car details in the signature...it is a slightly different model, but the “brains” should be same.

At least I can try making similar CCF changes to yours to see if it works on L405. I can even send you a full CCF in xml format, if you are curious.

It is just not intuitive to me why this video display inhibit parameter doesn’t do the trick and it drives a bit crazy Evil or Very Mad

Some years ago, I enabled video in motion on BMW X5 and it was as easy as changing one parameter... 2015 Range Rover HSE

I did some reading on this matter and looks like to enable video in motion it is not as simple as changing a CCF parameter.
I think it is the screen software that does the speed check and displays safety message.
The solution might be to decode the screen module software exml file for specific vehicle (2015 L405 in my case) from SDD folder to xml, then find that if statement in the code (if speed > 10 mph) and change 10 mph to 150 mph. Then encode back to exml and update software via SDD.
Am I on the right track here? 2015 Range Rover HSE

Sounds logical but if your running Gen2.1 then CCF edit should do it. Speed sensing is required for many vehicle functions so JLR changing code in FCDIM just seems illogical knowing them. MY15

I suggest you talk to GAP as not all fields are accessible via the GAP-TOOL and I was serious about the edit for Video Inhibit!
More likely you don’t have access to change that field via Gap Diagnostics.
If you’ve accessed your EXML then you’ll know what fields you have access to. Either you or Gap will need to change the status of that field to edit. MY15

HONG KONG mode turns the video off completely, I probably found out the same way as everyone else 😆

For VIM there are a number of speed thresholds to trigger the video to turn off, one of the options sets the speed threshold to turn the video off to 255kph, effectively disabling the "video off with speed" function.

If you've decrypted the EXML then I think it's obvious which value to set the field to. Or you can just start guessing and see what happens. 0xFF is "unsupported", 0x00 is "disabled" (default speed threshold) 0x01 is the first speed threshold, 5kpm ish, and so on.

I didnt write them all down as I found them, so can't tell you what value disabled the video switch off. Moving video in the drivers view is illegal in most of the world, and with RSE the kids have their own screens.

Thanks - this is helpful. Yes, I have decoded CCF exml and the video inhibit parameter had three options:
0x00 undefined
0x01 NOT_HKONG Laughing
0x02 FITTED

Update: I have tried loading 0x05, 0x15, 0x30 and 0x97 into video_display_inhibit parameter and still get the same warning message Evil or Very Mad Censored
Is there another speed related parameter in CCF? What is its name? I went through all of items containing "speed" and none seemed to relate to the display, e.g. vehicle speed limit, locking on speed (central locks), etc.
PS: I have decoded the SDD CCF file and enable editing of all parameters, so I see and can change any parameter in CCF. 2015 Range Rover HSE

Maybe do as Stu suggests and compare the options in the 2013 L405 list. The FL2 list does not have the complete list of options for the Gen2.1.

Pretty sure I only changed one option to turn VIM on.

Normally the options count up in 1s so 0x02, 0x03, 0x04 etc

I have compared L405 2013/2014 vs 2013 L359 CCFs and confirmed that the relevant to VIM sections are identical Thumbs Up

However, after loading various values (through 0x6D Exclamation ) into video_display_inhibit i can confirm that it is not the answer to enabling VIM. Censored This parameter initial value was 0x01, i.e. not Hong Kong in xml code (or behavior controlled by application if translated in proper English Exclamation ). And, yes, if changed to 0x02 (Hong Kong), the DVD stops playing even when the car stationary. Laughing

There must be another CCF parameter, presumably speed related (following the logic and some hints mentioned above). but which one is it? Banging Head

I have narrowed down the search to the three below. The mask for all of them is 0xFF, i.e. they can have many unique values Exclamation...any suggestions? Rolling Eyes
