What gear?

In command shift the gear you are in is indicated on the info panel - great as this is essential. But when you are in Drive just "D" is displayed. Does anyone know if and how the gear you are in can be displayed when in Drive? I know it is not really necessary or of interest to most drivers, but boys toys and all that!

Highly recommended but read, and reread, and reread all the posts about how to do it. It’s not for the faint hearted but if you’re reasonably computer literate you should be fine. But if, for example, you don’t know how to find the file that needs to be replaced, then don’t attempt it.

Be aware!
The firmware is made for the old/first style of instrument clusters.
It works for MY2007 to MY2010, but ideally for MY2010 and up until the new/later style of instrument clusters, because it has as starting point the MY2010 firmware.
But, again, it will not work for later type of instrument cluster.

I'd love to have this option on my late model instruments but it seems to be impossible, and apart from that, way too complicated! Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
