Ukraine 2013 Freelander 2 2.0T SE Auto Fuji White

The clips for the rear speaker panel are the same as the door sills but without the rubber ring.

I have replaced all with the rubber ring.

The door panels are now the same as the sills. The B column etc I put the rubber ones there as well.

Clips:
Door liners: LR013135 (now the same as sills)
Boot liners & tail gate liner: LR006101 (you will break a lot of these)
Sills, & can be used on upper column panels which don't have the rubber, which will reduce sound transmission, anything to help at ear level: LR003015 (Also a lot of these will get broken)
Dashboard trims: FYC500040 (I lost two & recovered one, I know roughly where the other one is)
Boot hook clip brackets: LR004797 (I accidentally damaged one) Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

So after chasing my tail trying to get various indies to do this job I finally bit the bullet and bought a Mongoose Pro. Edited the CCF but still no joy. Was just about to give up when I found another option for Premium Sound System 4x150w, selected this and uploaded CCF, bingo!

Also edited the speakers to 12

I now have a fully working Premium sound system šŸ˜Š

For anyone interested I will do the same for them for 50 quid. I'm in North Wales

Right! I have taken the plunge to do this, ordered speakers from here there and everywhere. Centre speaker was the best bargain Ā£5 brand new, rest full price šŸ™. even got a amp of a 2012 model. Once all has arrived I'll then buy the gap tool and programme it in. ( watch this space for problems ) that going to be a hard pill to swallow paying for that but with ears like mine a good sound quality is everything. GS Sd4 2012

.
I think the 1845 one is right but got a feeling the 1846 one is for the later model. If it is would it still work or just send it back.. thanks. GS Sd4 2012

Well upgrade is all done. Went suprisingly easy. While messing around with the gap tool I thought I'd turn on the drl option but nothing different then turning you lights on the dip so I'll turn that off. Can you program a new remote with the gap tool. GS Sd4 2012

Here's a bit of a twist to the Surround retrofit for the cars up to 2012MY...

100mm surround speakers from the Jag XF, Bowers & Wilkins kevlar version
80mm dash speakers from the L405 Range Rover, Meridian Signature version (also kevlar)
165mm door bass speakers from the Jag XF, Bowers & Wilkins kevlar version

The sound is amazing....

The Bowers & Wilkins speakers are a straight swap, same plugs, same dimension.

The 80mm Meridian speakers have a different connector on them, had to cut the existing plugs off and solder in new ones.

Iā€™m looking at upgrading my SE to the premium system (already bought the amplifier) and Iā€™m undecided as to go with the standard Land Rover speakers or these Kevlar ones. How much better than the Standard speakers are these? Is there a list of part numbers for these that could be added here to save searching for them?

So will the Gap IID tool 100% work? I'm in Canada and I've heard that the CCFs aren't as editable in North America as they are overseas? I've taken this to two independent shops, one that uses an Auto logic and another that uses some other tool I've never heard of. I've tried multiple "DD" amps and my original amp still works which means the edit hasn't been done or done properly. I'm willing to spend the ~$700 CAD to get the Gap tool if it will for sure work for me, then probably do the upgrade to the Kevlar speakers from the Jag at some point too. Still cheaper buying the Gap tool than installing an entirely new head unit and amp, as well I don't think I can get the Pro Logic IIx DSP in an aftermarket amp and I'm really curious to see how surround matrixing sounds in a vehicle.

@Rybone89 I bought a cable and software from her https://www.jlridssddmongoose.com/amp/home...v138-v131/

Works perfectly and allowed me to edit the CCF to enable the Premium HiFi.

Thanks! Wow that's way cheaper than the Gap tool. Do I need to buy "optional softwares" or "optional preconfigured laptop options"

What do I do once this arrives?

Well it's already arrived from the UK here to Canada, insanely fast shipping! But what the heck do I have to do to configure the premium surround? Reinstalling the "DD" amp now...haven't plugged the Mongoose into my vehicle or laptop yet. Help appreciated, thanks!
