humm.. dun see other manufacturers have the same problem. And not only we need to service more often than others, each service cost more than most other European cars. AUD6xx (1st service) and AUD8xx(2nd service).

It depends of the type of engine oil they use. Did you check if they are using the semi synthetic or the fully synthetic oil? |

I think the service intervals has a lot to do with what we will cop and not what is really required, otherwise we would be looking at longer intervals like all of landrovers other markets.

I service my car every 6 month. Now I've already had 2 services done and in 2-month time, it will be another one. I didn't pay single penny for the service, thx for corporate program with 3 year free servicing. Land Rover Freelander 2 HSE i6 |

The best thing anybody who owns a Land Rover can do is NOT EVER get their car serviced by Land Rover dealers. I have had two Freelanders totalling over 270,000 km over the last ten years. For the first 6 years I had services done religiously at a Land Rover dealer in Melbourne as per the book. Service charges were stupidly high (higher than my wife's BMW) and work was invariably poorly done resulting in at least one and sometimes two trips back to the dealer to get things rectified that often weren't broken before the service.
