I’ve never looked at anything other than the steels for the new Defender. Complete opposite to what I drive at the moment.

This is what I would’ve optioned had I ordered an original Defender but couldn’t live with one everyday, though the new one changes that, it’s comfortable will make a great everyday vehicle. Much like my beloved Disco 3 and 4s.

Figures for roof loads including the roof/expedition rack on the Defender. I'll do the numbers in kg (pounds/2.2).

90:
80kg road tyres & roof rack.
100kg off road tyres & roof rack.
100kg road tyres & expedition rack.
118kg off road tyres & expedition rack.

110:
80kg road tyres & roof rack.
80kg off road tyres & roof rack.
100kg road tyres & expedition rack.
168kg off road tyres & expedition rack.

Any of you that are on Twitter will be aware that there are a lot of Defender tweets at the moment including a series of pictures you can download for colouring in. This one raised some questions about the similarity to Freelander 1. Perhaps they have accidentally released the FL3 design ?
