I noticed the other day our local Coles supermarket had started marking the floors. There is going to be a route & spacing through the shop.

You better be familiar with your supermarket layout & take a list as it looks like you will not be able to double back if you forget something.

I pulled out of our cellar a few bottles of rice wine, it's at least 15 years old & about 2.5 bottles in total. China's secret weapon against Coronavirus!

I notice that some stores are providing a facility for health workers and OAPs to access the shops before the rest of us plebs. A very noble and decent concept, but maybe not quite thought through properly.

Putting at close proximity the most at risk of receiving a seriously good kicking from the virus with those likely to be in direct contact with the virus for long periods.

Sod it, I am so overthinking things, I’m off down the pub... oh hang on a sec.

^^^Interesting point@SeeFive
People need to know with some certainty, how long this virus can stay in the air/aerosolized, & on surfaces. Air currents easily cover great distances so a proper mask has to be effective.

Those that can stay at home won't need a mask

I agree not sensible.
In Italy 8.3% of the infected cases are health care workers. I see no reason why that wont be repeated in the UK .
Sadly, those healthcare workers that become infected are likely to suffer a higher mortality as they tend to get hit with higher and repeated viral loads and ,certainly in acute hospitals, the worker population is relatively old due to years of reduced staff recruitment. Jules

Northern Territory & South Australia will have border controls next week. 14 days quarantine.

So probably not before long every state in Australia will have border controls.

Edit: now Western Australia. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Sainsbury`s have changed the arrangements for the elderly/ NHS shopping times. It`s now 07:30 -8:00 Mon to Fri for NHS Staff and 08:00 to 09:00hrs Mon-Wed-Fri for the elderly. Changed as a lot of customers wrote to them pointing out the issue with having both groups shopping at the same time. Thumbs Up

My Mrs works for the NHS & 8 to 9 not a lot of good to her as she has to be ready to start work just after 8. Saying that I do the shopping during the day as retired.

I am getting a little fed up with this panic buying tho & having to que with my loaf of bread & bottle of milk for 30 minutes while one or two in front shoves their lorry loads thru the tills.

I drop the Mrs at work about 7.45am & on the way home pop into Aldi which I drive by. I used to go there for bread & milk & maybe some eggs & there was maybe 3 or 4 others there at the same time, when I go by now it looks like Christmas eve shopping. The car park is rammed & people looking for a parking space.

I am also trying to keep my isolated 88 year old aunt supplied which is not easy, I tried 5 shops the other night because she wanted some milk & I could not get any, how & why on earth would you need to hoard milk. Its at times like this people show how really selfish they are.
