I don't know the mpg figures, butthe CO2 rating gives an indication. For the auto, its 224 g/km. For the current manual 194 g/km. The new manual has the auto stop/start option (stops the engine when you stop in traffic), and I think some other features, reducing its claimed emissions to 179 g/km.

I have had experience in both a manual (courtesy car for a week) and an auto (mine) and prefer the auto hands down - remember the manual is 6 speed so you will have a lot of gears to change through!

I'd go for auto tried the manual box not a patch on the auto, and you should still get 30-32 mpg on the motorway. Haggle hard and try to get auto box in the deal aswell as a good discount of course!!! |

I went for my test dive today in a Auto HSE, really impressed with everything including the auto box. Leaps a head of my 5yr old X-trail, big bonus was the wife seemed to like it as well.
