I have noticed that from various topics discussed on the main forum that our Scandinavian Freelys have a few technical differences from the UK and probably the other mainland European models.

For example, our PTC system is different (we don’t need the modification). Maybe the Scandinavian models are fitted with the UK so-called “winter pack option”
Another difference is that from July 2007 we have DPF fitted as standard.

Does anybody have a list of all the technical differences between Scandinavian and UK/European models  2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Det er også forskjeller i norsk og dansk utgave. Jeg har "kaldt klima pakke" (dansk bil), men har likevel vært til P014 og skiftet " Electric Booster Heater (PTC Heater )".

There are also differences in the Norwegian and Danish edition. I have "cold climate pack" (Danish car), but have still been in to the P014 and shifted "Electric Booster Heater (PTC Heater)".

P014 consists of:
1: Remove the Electric Boost Heater spacer
2: Disconnect the drain tube from both ends and remove
3: Install the new drain tube.

I would have thought that the Norsk and Dansk versions were the same. However my dealer/service station told me there was no PTC fix neccessary for my Freely.

Min forrige danske bil var VW Sharan og der hadde jeg veihjelp.

Don't DPF's (Diesel Particulate Filters?) emit more CO2 gasses than cars fitted with plain exhaust systems?

Sounds like a backwards step to make them compulsory or is diesel fuel really so dirty?

As I understand it, the DPF chucks out a lump of crap occasionally instead of a small amount in a normal exhaust system without DPF.
It’s all a lot of nonsense if you ask me, but if it keeps the dumbo politicians happy and gives us a reduced road fund payment by having a DPF fitted, then so-be-it  2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

I thought it collected the soot and then burned it for a second time. Otherwise what's really the point.
If it collected it and dropped it after a while we might see restrooms for cars in the future

I think "Cold Climate / winther or whatever-package" is standard and included in all LR's here in Norway.

Models with the cold climate pack fitted as standard (for ex. Norwegian models) have a small temperature sensor (like a nipple) under the right hand door mirror. As far as I know that is the only visible indication as to what ya got, but in fact the extra equipment which is fitted is quite a considerable bunch of technical stuff.

As this is a really exclusive enhancement over the mundane UK models, I wonder why LR didn't make a thing out of it and give models visible recognition of this. For example HSE-CC (Cold Climate), which makes sense since LR are giving the stop-an-start models a "-e" after the model name.  2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
