I have noticed that from various topics discussed on the main forum that our Scandinavian Freelys have a few technical differences from the UK and probably the other mainland European models.

I would have thought that the Norsk and Dansk versions were the same. However my dealer/service station told me there was no PTC fix neccessary for my Freely.

If forsikring (men mye billigere) 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Don't DPF's (Diesel Particulate Filters?) emit more CO2 gasses than cars fitted with plain exhaust systems?

As I understand it, the DPF chucks out a lump of crap occasionally instead of a small amount in a normal exhaust system without DPF.

I thought it collected the soot and then burned it for a second time. Otherwise what's really the point. If it collected it and dropped it after a while we might see restrooms for cars in the future |

2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack. |

I think "Cold Climate / winther or whatever-package" is standard and included in all LR's here in Norway. You wouldn't survive without it here..... 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack. |

Models with the cold climate pack fitted as standard (for ex. Norwegian models) have a small temperature sensor (like a nipple) under the right hand door mirror. As far as I know that is the only visible indication as to what ya got, but in fact the extra equipment which is fitted is quite a considerable bunch of technical stuff.
