Glad it’s fixed! Mine’s currently due a fuel filter replacement, but it’s not a job I want to do outside in the current weather! 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

Unfortunately, not always best to go for pattern / 'OEM' parts.

It's always a risk but I will check reviews before I buy and it is true that 'official' parts are often not the best quality either. As with anything, you pay your money and takes your chance.

Often? Really?? Can you cite some examples of this??? I'm with Pedro - official LR Parts, whilst horrendously expensive have been tested thoroughly for durability and all come with a 12/24 month warranty. I don't beleive in putting pattern parts on a vehicle of this complexity....we are not talking about wiper blades here, but expensive and complex components that have been tested throughly to last X amounts of years. Not some cheap Chinese knock-off that will fall to bits in a year. Not what I want to fit to my investment thank you very much. |
