Drivers Seat Back Fabric Removal

Hey folks. 2011 GS with fabric seats. Something has gone ping in the upright part of the driver's seat back so that where the bolsters should be all nice and firm, I have a metal bar protruding into my back/shoulder blade. I'm guessing something has disconnected inside.

I've had a search and can't find how to remove the seat fabric. Ive found how to do the base, but I need the back.

Any help greatly appreciated. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

I replaced the foam in seat last year I don’t think you can remove the back cover without removing the seat from the car.

Disconnect the battery and leave the car for 10 minutes to let the air bag system discharge. Remove the 4 bolts on the floor and 1 for the seat belt. If you look under the front seat you’ll see the loom go’s into a block connector undo the single bolt in the connector this will separate it.

Look at the back bottom of the seat you’ll see a “U” channel strip which hold the two sides together. I used a small screw drive to free one side then do the same from the other side then worked towards the middle. Remove the screws holding on the plastic side covers and unhook the seat cover.

After that its just a case of rolling up the cover disconnecting things as you go just make a note of where they connect. You’ll needed to cut or pull apart the metal circular clips I replaced these with cable ties just do them the about the same size. I think it took 2-3 hours in total.
