No reverse gear resistance

Hi, have just recently got a 13 reg manual GS and the gear change is very vague , this is due to there being no resistance that you normally get when going over the gate for reverse, does anybody have any ideas what part is worn to cause this? I love this car but would like to fix this minor but niggly problem. Many thanks for any ideas, have looked on the search thing with no success, cheers.

I had a gearbox recall on my first FL2 in 2008. After the garage finished I no longer had a resistence into reverse. It turned out they had disconnected the solenoid to do the recall work and failed to reconnect it. Maybe it's a loose or poor connection. driving on the right side

Time will no doubt tell Anglasit, can only hope it was just a glitch.
