If I were a betting man, I would say low brake fluid, as has been suggested further up |

If it appears only when you turn to the right, then check the wires to the ABS speed sensors, for the front wheels.

Yes Dot 4 fluid is fine for your car. Be careful not to overfill however as when you change the pads you will have to push back the caliper pistons which will bring the fluid level in the reservoir back up and could result in the fluid spilling out and causing a mess. Might be worth changing the fluid at the same time as you are doing the rest of the brakes if it is old/has not been done before. |

Top it up with DOT4 to, at the very very least, a few mm above the min mark. I personally would not wait too long to have the brakes serviced. I am making the assumption that the fluid is low because your pads are very low...........? |
