OK, so if it's not electrical then how does it know " This helps overcome the loss of momentum when towing,"? Common sense isn't very common.

Thank you, that makes more sense to me, so if I was driving up hill with a trailer but without the electrics plugged in it would still drop a gear? the same as if I had five Americans, full petrol and lpg tanks and a boot full of sandbags without a trailer. |
