It's high me Les and a manual but I would love one like this. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=ht...3980064452
If only it had history...
Do a need to worry about manuals. What would a clutch cost to do... I've always done most my own work on cars..easy enough to do?

Cheers

If the cam belt has been done it's worth a punt at £3500 to £3750, cars that have spent most of their time on M ways are good buys. Find out what bills he has and check the MOT history on the web. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
2012 HSE SD4 In Orkney Grey now gone, best car ever.

Clutch is a fairly expensive job, around about six hours labour.

The thing about the FL2 is, as long as you’re not asking too much of it, it really isn’t too bad Thumbs Up

But, load it with a heavy twin axle trailer and manoeuvre it on soft ground and the clutch will start to burn alarmingly quickly. For what you’re intending, stick to the auto.

Well thanks everyone for all the help
today i purchased a freelander 2.
I was waiting for the right one to come up. was getting more fussy about what i wanted.. ideally i wanted a HSE..
But must have service history, auto cambelt done... heated seats and screen..

I was happy to wait to find the right one as i don't need to tow for a while and borrowing a friends car..

But browsing internets one came up about 50 miles form my house. HSE(pretty sure its HSE it has every extra inc touch screen) auto and full land rover history with cambelt done.
I went up to day and purchased (tuesday) going back up tomorrow to pick up. will doa thread when i have it

Thanks everyone ! really looking forward to tomorrow!!!!

Get a spare wheel & jack for it if it doesn't have one.

Make sure you get 2 remote keys & that they both actually work. They are bloody expensive. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Sound like a great buy. How many miles on it?
