Spain 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Tonga Green
OIL SPEC

Hi All..

I've read the oil spec but its still so bloody confusing Shocked .

Can I ask advise....

2007 2.2TD4 WITH DPF.
136,000 miles
Car in Spain so warmer than UK

Service book specifies SAE 5W-30 MEETING FORD B SPECIFICATION.. Not sure if I'm right but this doesn't look like DPF spec oil.

1 supplier states C1 another C3 oil.

HELP Bow down Bow down

As far as I am aware, all DPF models use C1 oil. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Thanks Steve

I think the confusion on suppliers sites are because its a 2007 WITH A DPF

Only seem to list DPF after 2011

The book is also confusing. Maybe a standard 2007 book not allowing for the DPF fitted

Not really. For DPF engines you need Shell Helix Ultra ECT C3 5W-30

Edit: IGNORE THIS - I got it wrong. C1. Embarassed Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

All the other posts state ACAE C1 not C3

Took the details off the thread on here

https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic34173.html

No wonder there is so much confusion on oil.

As far as I can see C1 is lower SAPS than C3

I must have had a brain fart. Apologies, yes, you are right, that’s exactly what I put in my Evoque. For some reason I thought I bought a C3 oil. There was a link on here some time ago and I bought 10 litres for less than £45 delivered. https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic34061.html Link is now dead so it’s no longer available at that price. Thank you. I cross posted...Too much confusion on oil. Used to be so simple. Different grades for specific and a multigrade for virtually everything else.

Yeh its about right then. I paid £49.27 (equiv). £30.69 plus carriage from Germany to Spain. Quality oil here is around 69 Euros for 5 Ltr. Roughly £59.00 so still saved around £10.

Ah. Just realised yours was for 2 x 5L... Big Cry Excellent price.
