Rolling with laughter

Don't worry nHalliday but if ever I would look for tuning, I wouldn't buy a "remapping" (certainly not at such a high price). If ever you sell the car, or lose it by an accident or whatever, you can't recuperate anything.

@ zone30: the FL2 is in their list !

As CG posted, it's all there on the site.

Horses for courses I guess, I know a lot of people around here who swear by these guys, they're a bit of a local legend, perhaps like DMA in the UK, and whenever I've stopped by, there's been cars from the UK, Germany, Holland, etc. in the car-park.

I've had chip-boxes in the past, and some are OK, some are not. I guess I prefer the reassurance of the full-service rolling-road remap and so on, but you pays yer money Very Happy

I doubt it would be to blame, I have run the Blurfin since 2007 on a car, it all depends on how you drive it.

If you hammer it, something will break. I ran a Zafira GSi Turbo (200bhp standard) at 270bhp for 33000 miles and it never went wrong once. But I know others who had 250bp and broke things because they thrashed the cars.

If you Superchip the FL2 and drive it with respect, then you should have no issues IMO Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I was refering to the max recommended torque (not the bhp) through the FL2 gearbox, your Zafira was 2 wheel drive-so less stress on the gear box plus the 2.2 TD4 engine was designed to go in a 2 wheel drive Peugeot,

Tuning Box Update

It's been a couple of weeks since I fitted the Chip Express tuning box, I thought I'd give an update:

In summary, I've decided to remove it. Nothing wrong with the tuning box as such, the mpg was improved as was the power, but both came at the expense of some engine smoothness and in the final analysis, I preferred the smoothness over the power & mpg.

I have to say that Chip Express have been excellent throughout and have assisted with different setting suggestions and advice. When I finally decided I couldn't find the right compromise between smoothness and added power they took the unit back and refunded my money without question, so 10/10 for customer service. Thumbs Up 2008 HST Auto
