What is the protocol with LR with regard to servicing. My FL2 will be 12 months old next month but at the moment i only have 11,500 on the clock. I heard a rumour that you can stretch it to 13 months before servicing if you havent got up to mileage - is this correct? Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

You're lucky. TnC (who keep sending me info on new FL2's Disco's and RR's) put me in a bog standard diesel Ford Focus when I went in for recall work recently.

Last week I put my wife's 1 series into John Clarks. If I wanted a courtesy car I would have had to wait 3 weeks and pay £25 for the priviledge. They offered me a lift....but only to Union Street (?). A complete waste of time for me. I ended up paying for a taxi from and to, totalling £24.

UK owners seem to carry on like a load of spoiled brats - complaining about WHAT drive you get when yours is in for service .

Yes Andy but mine wasn't in for a service. It was in for a load of recall and warranty work due to shoddy and crap workmanship.

I've just realised that the service reminder is very helpful - once I got over 14000, the service reminder came up in the odometer screen showing miles to service then it changed to a clock and a number whcih is the number of days to the car's birthday.
