Oponeo have these Pirellis at £88 each. Seems like pretty good value.

I ran something similar on my Disco 1 and was always really happy with the tyres, surprisingly good off road too.

Looks quite effective for the Norn Iron climate! $150cdn a tire is a darn good price.

Yes, I’m very happy with them although shipping and fitting added another £20 per tyre. Still good value, I reckon.

We’ve done maybe a thousand miles on the Pirellis. They seem fine. A bit quieter than the two different types of Nexen tyres that were on the car when we got it. Other than that, what to say? If you readily find the limits of adhesion of tyres on public roads, you’re probably going too fast and there hasn’t been any really cold weather to determine if they ride well at temperatures close to zero nor how well they might work in snow.

But for a hundred quid a corner I’m very happy with them.

3 inches of snow on the ground yesterday......... Still doing my fall leaf cleanup but the snow and subzero temps have put a temporary stall to that annual choir.

Any body had these tyres long term? I'm 5 months in, about 6mm all round and they've completely gone off, absolutely devoid of lateral traction. Damp round abouts at 20mph result in serious sideways action. Seriously tempted to ditch them for something else, despite the cost.

Haldex and AWD is in good condition, 4wheel alignment done when they went on the car. I didn't choose them, the tyre shop ordered the wrong thing and ultimately I got them for very cheap (£86 each).

I'm now 11 months in, I don't know the tread wear. Within a week of fitting back in January I thought there was something seriously wrong with the wheel alignment, and took the car back to ATS to double check. They confirmed they were spot on. However the drive continues to wander and is very susceptible to surface, camber, white line changes. Have since had track rod ends replaced as a MOT requirement and has made no difference to the steering. Previously I had Continentals that did 39500 miles and were absolutely brilliant in straight line steering, crossing mountains, snow and rain, and poodling about Surrey. I've yet to test the Pirelies in snow but so far I'm deeply unimpressed with the driveability.

I've just put four 235/60 R18 107V tyres on for £102 a corner. Seemed a pretty good deal to me. I hope they're not as bad as some folk are saying! -------------------------------------------------------------
