They should be a direct fit but will need configuring which isn’t too hard if you take it to the right person. There will be more info on this site if you do a search. They won’t be self levelling but that won’t be a problem at mot time. I’m an mot tester and this is the guidance we MUST go by:

On a non HID car you have a manual height/beam angle selector. Does anyone know if this will still function after converting to HID?? I'd love to do the HID swap, but I do tow/carry heavy loads periodically, and make use of the beam angle adjuster. I suspect i really need to retrofit the adjustment mechanisms but maybe not if the manual beam adjuster will still work. |

I think the reflectors are a bit small to be of any practical use for distance. A purpose built led / hid lamp could have the light output required but cant imagine anyone would make one specifically to fit our fog lights. If you have any joy finding something suitable Id love to hear of it though. ![]() 2014 Orkney grey Freelander SD4 GS. 2004 Zambezi silver Discovery 2 Td5 (Gone) 1963 Surf blue Morris Mini Minor Super de Luxe (my little toy) |

Yes, the manual adjuster works for Xenon lights when converted over from halogen.

yes i also fear they will be shortlived but will soon see. i would have preferred Phillips brand - i fitted upgaded H4s to my Defender and that was 4 years ago and they are great , still going strong. Phillips do an Extreme Vision G force HB3 version but not been able to find any yet. May try them if the Nightbreakers prove a flop. FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey |

I try to change my H7 dipped Nightbreaker lamps each year, moving them to the high beam position. Never had a lamp blow yet. I never use the auto setting on the headlamp switch as this is going to put more heating/cooling cycles through the lamps, leading to premature failure. |
