Bobupndown back in January 2020 you fitted an aftermarket HID kit, is it still going strong? |

...As are my LEDs, which were installed when my FL2 sailed through its MOT back in March, so no issues with beam pattern etc. I'm still happy with them, though some have commented that the main beam distance isn't as good as Nightbreakers (short lifespan) or HIDs (fairly expensive if you buy an aftermarket kit, eye-wateringly so if you decide to source a set of LR headlamp units). Can't say I've noticed any issue with main beam personally, even on the very dark lanes up here in North Wales...

Have you had any of the aftermarket HID bulbs fail on you?

Fitted Stealthx 5500 in my 2013 fl2 this morning, really enjoyed being able to just take them into my garage & do them, so easy, just quietly moved stuff around till I could get the back cover on, tried them against the wall at about 20ft and they looked good even in daylight, looking forward to trying them tonight. |

Hi, would recommend this HID replacement very highly, £60 buys you a quality kit & a hours work & jobs a good un, the light ( on mine) needed no adjustment, spot on & a pleasure to drive at night at last. |
