Started the installation today. Meant to just have bit of a play but one thing lead to another - you know how it is.

Looks like a bumper off job to me, then remove the bracket the headlight sits on. Even then, the flexy tube provided looks too big to sit under the headlight bracket in the way the original pipework does, which is flattened in this area due to limited space. Also, the inside diameter of the new pipe is too small to fit the parts provided. Nor will it provide a waterproof seal when attached, the jubilee clip will crush the fibreglass fitting too if done up tight enough.

Yes, that sounds feasible. I'll persevere a bit with what has been provided, I'll see if hot water makes the pipe a bit elastic. Otherwise I may cut off the fibre section and attach the supplied hose to the flattened original airbox connector. It'll work somehow.

Indeed, "Raised Air intake" is a better description than "snorkel" which implies water. Jules |

Sounds great. I've gone down a completely different route and modified the snorkel to enable me to utilize the original ducting from the wing vent. Also the snorkel does not fit exactly flush to the wing or A pillar despite numerous attempts to get the best compromise by jiggling it around- something else I will be addressing when I have the time. |

Having done a little bit of river wading and then looking on photos at how close the water can get to the vent even in shallow water. I'm interested in one of these.
