Exhaust Blow

got an exhaust blow from what seems to be between the engine and bulk head, told it's not the pipes so I am thinking could be manifold gasket, is this a known fault or it pointing to something else, only had the car a few weeks and it has done 183000 miles
Any thoughts?

Yeh Mikey. I think this may be the problem as there is no noticeable loss of power that I would think you get from a split turbo hose.
Was it expensive and are they available after market
Cheers guys
Dave

Dave, is the noise from the exhaust very loud? I ask because I seem to have a resonance below 2000 rpm that sounds like a slightly leaking exhaust but it isn’t apparent once well on the move.

Manifold itself is about £260, gasket about £30 for genuine LR parts. An aftermarket gasket is about £12 from Britcar.

Hi Simon, the noise is when ever you put your foot down, and there is a nasty smell od diesel exhaust in the car when stood still, going in to be investigated Friday.
Thanks for the prices. Mikey.
Looked online last night but only secondhand available, if it has to be changed then no point in a ytbig but new, not too bad but I expect the labor Wll be that again.
Cheers Guys

Thanks, Dave. I have absolutely no fumes in the cabin so I must look elsewhere.
